Biluochun has a history of over a thousand years, and every spring, countless tea enthusiasts eagerly await its arrival. The Dongting Biluochun from Suzhou is named after Dongting, a mountain range near Lake Tai.
The Dongting mountain range is divided into the east and west mountains, with the former extending into the Taihu Peninsula and the latter being the largest island on Lake Tai, facing each other across the water. Biluochun from the east side of Dongting is considered the best, with a history dating back to the Tang and Song dynasties. Its unique cultivation methods, labor-intensive picking, sorting, and frying make this authentic Dongting Dong Shan Biluochun extremely valuable.
"Timing, location, and people" are all crucial for producing high-quality tea, and there is a saying that "99% of people cannot taste it" due to the limited production. It takes 60,000 to 80,000 buds to produce one pound of Biluochun, and the fresh leaves harvested in early spring are extremely tender and delicate, making it a rare and highly coveted delicacy.
