How GABA tea was discovered:
GABA tea was first discovered in Japan in the 1980s when researchers found that processing tea leaves in a nitrogen-rich environment naturally increased their GABA content. While pioneered in Japan, Taiwan has become the leading producer of GABA teas due to the ideal mountain climate and skilled oolong tea roasters creating the world's finest.
